Illustrator Script Brush



Here is a screenshot of the shapes I ended up creating to make a series of brushes used in the spiral and my copy of the script ornament.

    Since I am a photography major I am new to Illustrator and I have never needed to use the pen tool. Can or will you be posting a tuturial on how to use it or do you know a good website where I can learn?

    I know my way around Illustrator but when it comes to the different brushes I have trouble shaping them like you did in the picture and problems changing their colors. What is the simplest way to achieve those?

    How do you get the parts where you cut the shape to be smooth and not so pointy and flow together so well?
